Airbrush Tanning

Q. How does airbrush tanning work?

A. The active ingredient, DHA (dihydroxyacetone), which is derived from sugar cane, interacts with the proteins and amino acids in the outer layer of your skin to produce a golden brown color. This reaction usually takes about 4 to 6 hours for the color to emerge, and then continues to develop over the next 12 hours. The color that emerges varies from person to person according to their natural skin tones, just as each individual tans differently in the sun. So your spray tan looks as natural as a regular tan from the sun, it fades evenly as if it were a tan from the sun, but best of all, it is actually GOOD for your skin!

Q. Is airbrush tanning safe?

A. Absolutely! All of the ingredients that are in our products and solutions are all-natural and anti-aging! In addition, DHA, which is the FDA approved active ingredient, has actually been recommended by the American Academy of Dermatology, The American Cancer Society, and the American Medical Association.

Q. How do you know Infinity Sun is the best?

A. First of all, if all of the A list celebrities are choosing it when they are constantly in the limelight, I think that says enough. But honestly, I have been doing research in the airbrush tanning industry for over a year, trying all the different brands to see which one provided the most natural looking tan without being orange, smelly, or sticky. When I came across Infinity Sun , it blew all of the other ones away. I truely believe, and have seen first-hand, that Infinity Sun is the best product in the industry!

Q. Do I still need sunscreen?

A. Absolutey! As great as airbrush tanning is, it does NOT protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun or indoor tanning. You already have your tan, use your sunscreen to SAVE YOUR SKIN!

Q. How long does it last?

A. Typically, your airbrush tan will last anywhere from 7 to 10 days. Because the tan only affects the outer layer of the skin and your body is constantly shedding away dead skin cells, your tan will gradually fade just as a regular suntan would. The key to making your tan last as long as possible is to MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE!

Q. How do I prepare for my airbrush tan?

A. Shave at least 8 hours before your session because if you shave right before, those pores on your body will be left open and absorb more color than the rest of your skin. Also, exfoliate with Infinity Exfoliant before coming. Any exfoliators that contain oil should only be used up until the day BEFORE your session. Finally, do not wear any moisturizers, makeup, or deodorant, as each of these act as a barrier to the tanning agent, DHA.

Q. What should I wear?

A. For women, you may wear whatever you are most comfortable with: a dark bathing suit, underwear, thong, or nothing at all. For men, a bathing suit or briefs must be worn! Remember to bring LOOSE, DARK clothes to put on after your session, as some of the instant bronzer may rub off a bit!

Q. How do I take care of my tan?

A. Wait at least 8-12 hours after your session to shower or sweat. After you shower, MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE! The more you moisturize, the longer your tan lasts (try Infinity Extend to extend the life of your tan an extra 2-3 days!). It is recommended to have another airbrush tan within 7-10 days to achieve optimal results, and then about every 10 days thereafter. Use Infintiy Glow on the Go on your face, hands, and feet between sessions, as these areas tend to fade faster.

Q. Can you choose how dark or light you get?

A. Yes! What is unique about our equipment is that unlike any other airbrush tanning machine, ours is completely digital! You tell me how dark you normally get and how dark you would like to be, and with the press of a button, you will get your desired result!

Q. Can I get an airbrush tan if I am pregnant?

A. There are no known side effects of the DHA on women who are pregnant. However, I would recommend consulting with your physician first.

Q. Why choose airbrush tanning?

A. Its simple. First of all, it is recommended by dermatologists everywhere. Because it is completely UV free, there is no risk of sunburn, premature aging, or even skin cancer. Second, you get the same results in 10 minutes that you would frying yourself in the sun for a week or in a tanning bed for a month! And third, a federal bill has just been approved to charge a 10% tax on all UV light tanning booths because it is so harmful to your health.
